Bush's Latest Stab at Damage Control
This White House has tried to make sure that it alone has the ability to play politics since it came to power. They used Iraq as a way to label Democrats as traitors if they oppsed Bush or enablers of Al Queda. Now that this White House is forced to deal with an opposition Congress, and many members of its own party looking for cover, they try to paint this scandal as a Democratic witch hunt.
Need we remind the White House that it was they that created this issue with the rankin of 'loyalty' to the president over competence. Then again this White House has never place a premium on competence but on ideology.
The chickens are coming home to roost Mr. President and your approval ratings stand at 30% I'd be careful just what kind of fight you pick.
